What it is:  Research and analysis of genomes (atDNA, mtDNA, Y-DNA, and X-DNA) to resolve questions regarding ancestral lines up to six or seven generations in the past (i.e., the genealogically relevant timeframe).


For: Those who have tested, but want more than colorful pie charts and pretty pictures...or someone whose genealogy puzzle isn't easily resolved with paper trails...or anyone who's curious about "this DNA testing stuff" but has yet to take the first step...or, well, anyone.
